It was early morning of what was going to be a sunny Sunday. I looked up in the big blue sky and initiated my morning walk for the day to avoid the heat and humidity that were forecasted by the weather people.

As I walked by a suburban street with woods on the right and the meadows on the left. Green was  the hue of the day in the earth and blue was the hue of the sky.

It was an ordinary day until some half-a-dozen or so  bluebirds appeared to make it very special. They were fluttering and chirping on a low-lying branch of a tall tree. I stopped by the street side, stood still and watched them flying around playfully and merrily and listened to them chirping and singing. They flew up and around the branches, and alighted on them briefly before repeating their dances and songs.

They were blue and beautiful although tiny compared to the big blue sky above them. My heart fluttered with them and was instantly filled with unforeseen joy. It joined the flock of the birds and sang and danced with them.

The flock or family of blue birds were indistinguishable in terms of color and size. They were tiny in appearance but mammoth in their beauty and appeal. They enraptured and entranced me. It was a moment of deep meditation. It was a moment of pure joy and ecstasy.

I was standing amidst the green in the earth and gazing at the blue in the sky before the  blue birds lifted me up, benumbed me, and still made me smile. I was in perfect communion with the cosmos.

They gave me the Tao. They gave me the Brahman and the Samadhi. They gave me the Nirvana and the Sunyata. They gave me the Peace of God. They gave me the Rida and the Fana.
